I wanted to share with you my new love in my life right now – my all in one pressure cooker!  This little beauty is a must for a busy household and will not only save you time and money it cooks the most scrumptious meals that are nourishing, hearty and wholesome.
My beautiful girlfriend shared the secret and I had to go out and get one for myself to try it and I must tell you it has been the best investment I have made into a cooking appliance yet. Super easy to use. Â Easy to clean and the ultimate super hero of the cooking world. Â Any type of meat, chicken or vegetables roll off the tongue and are totally deliciously healthy. YAY!
What I love is that on the days when you are time poor but you still want a meal that is packed with flavour this is your answer. You can save money by using cheaper cuts of meat that are ideal for stewing or braising as when these are cooked using the pressure function the meat has that OMG melt in your mouth tenderness. This is because this way of cooking allows no evaporation which means the liquid becomes the sauce and the essence of the meal itself. You can create tasty stews, soups, anything plus you can bake and steam.
I love that you can experiment and go crazy with different herbs and spices creating meals that are bursting with clean, fresh flavours all year round while using what’s in season which is not only great for you but the whole family.  This all in one cooker is also so super awesome during the hCG Protocol and then following onto the Maintenance Phase and beyond as you are creating your meals from scratch and guess what? You know what is going into your meals. BOOM! Actually even when I am thinking about it now you can cook some dishes while on the Protocol like lean chicken with fresh herbs and spices, onions, garlic and throw in some tasty vegetables that are allowed on the Protocol. Easy as and the combinations are endless and the win is that it cooks super quickly.
This is one of my favourite go to recipes which you can cook more of during the Protocol and freeze for later so please adjust to where you are at on your journey:
BEEF AND WINTER FRESH VEGETABLE STEW: (TIP: use whatever is in season during the Maintenance Phase and beyond)
500g stewing beef
2 cloves garlic chopped finely
1 tbsp fresh thyme chopped finely
Freshly ground pepper and salt to taste
125g fresh celery sliced
1 large onion chopped coarsely
175ml beef stock
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
100ml red wine (optional) or replace with water
Mix the beef with garlic, thyme and pepper and salt to taste. Mix in celery and onion
Pour the red wine beef stock and olive oil over the beef and vegetables. Close the lid. Press the STEW button on the cooker and set the cooking time for 45 minutes and press START. Stir once or twice. Serve with some fresh tasty salad vegetables.
PS The one I purchased is a Phillips  HD2137 and it is absolutely fabulous!
